We chose the name Casa Musa (“the muse’s house”) because it speaks to the
spirit of inspiration that lives here. This is not just a beautiful setting: it’s a
place that awakens something within. From the textures and materials to the
way light moves through the rooms, everything invites you to pause, feel, and
reconnect.
This isn’t a place of loud luxury. It’s a place of presence. Of art.
Of long conversations. Of beauty that feels honest and alive.
What drives us is simple: creating beauty that feels real. We believe in holding
space for people to reconnect with themselves, with others, and with nature.
Everything we do is made with care, not perfection. And we trust that time,
quiet, and intention are what shape meaningful experiences.

Casa Musa, a place of presence,
art, of beauty and soft luxury
Casa Musa didn’t start as an idea: it began as a feeling. A sense that this
place, with its old walls and surrounding trees, still had more to give.
Set in the hills of Alella, the house has lived many lives. It began as part of the
18th-century Mas Coll estate and was later known as Can Coll Xic, once
owned by Isabel Coll in the 1730s. The current structure was reformed and
extended in the 1920s, when it took on the name Cal Vegetalí.
Its architecture is a blend of neoclassical elements (like Ionic columns and
balustrades) with eclectic charm. The gardens hold decorative hydriae and a
domed belvedere, while inside, original mosaic floors and ornate plaster
ceilings reveal the care once given to craft.
Though its past spans centuries, Casa Musa is now experiencing a new
chapter. Its renovation has been intentional, layered and preserving what was,
while gently guiding the house into what it’s becoming.

Our interiors offer a contemporary interpretation of Catalan neoclassical design, while our art collection honours the region’s artistic legacy.
Every piece has been created by artists who spent significant time in Catalonia, allowing the house to speak with a truly local voice.
Sustainability
& Community
At Casa Musa, creating a positive social and environmental impact is a core
part of who we are. We aim to foster a meaningful sense of place — for our
guests, our partners, and our community — in alignment with the UN
Sustainable Development Goals.
Our 1860 heritage building has been carefully restored with guidance from the
Alella heritage department, preserving original elements such as the façade,
Catalan tiles, garden belvederes, and the traditional roof structure. Alongside
this preservation, we have integrated modern, environmentally responsible
features including water-efficient systems, improved insulation, and
sustainable materials throughout the property.
Our interiors reflect the same commitment: organic cotton bedding and towels,
restored and recycled furniture, and eco-friendly cleaning products. In the
garden, we practise bio-gardening, growing herbs and fruits that find their
way into our kitchen.
Supporting the local community is central to our mission. We source organic
produce and biodynamic wine from nearby farmers and vineyards, offer guided
art and heritage tours for local schools and residents, and maintain green
space within the village of Alella.

Our wellness spaces offer a luxurious, deeply soothing experience. The
gym is equipped for both strength and cardio training, while the spa invites
you into a world of quiet indulgence: a serene steam room, a cedar-lined
sauna, and hot–cold thermal pools that restore balance to body and mind.
Our massage therapists offer tailored treatments in the dedicated wellness
room or outdoors by the pool, surrounded by Mediterranean air and filtered
light.
Yoga sessions with local teachers take place in the Master’s Room or on
the rooftop, where the horizon and sea breeze become part of your
